Transacting with ACRA is now easier

It is inevitable that you will need to transact with the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (“ACRA”) if you own a company in Singapore. Be it lodgements on the Bizfile platform or purchases in ACRA’s iShop, you can now make electronic payments.

E-PAY IS DEFINITELY THE WAY TO GO

You now have the options of using PayPal and Google Pay, on top of credit and debit cards. Apple Pay is also available as one of the payment options, provided you access Bizfile using the Safari browser or Apple devices. Each of the payment options support secured online transactions. The transaction limit is usually dependent on the credit limit that is pre-set with the banks and/or the restrictions imposed by the payment service providers, namely PayPal, Google Pay or Apple Pay.

To help you track your electronic payments, unique identifiers such as transaction reference numbers (including EP reference number and ARN reference number) and mode of electronic payment are displayed on the Acknowledgement page and ACRA’s receipt after the electronic payment process has been completed. You should retain ACRA’s receipt for reference or record purposes.

IF YOU REQUEST FOR REFUND…

Upon approval by ACRA, the refund will be credited directly to either your debit card, credit card or account with the payment service provider which was used to make the original payment. In the event of expiry or termination of the debit card, credit card or account held with the payment service provider, ACRA must be informed of the alternative refund mode for it to process the refund.
